There are a few issues related to Human Resource. So I will share with all of you that read my blog 10 common issues in Human Resources.

For this week I would like to share about retaining talent issues. 

The seventh issues that I have recently read is from Digital News Asia (FMT). Based on what I have read in paper shows that it is hard to retain talent nowadays

The purpose of this article is to discuss a poll that indicates that Malaysian businesses may have difficulty retaining their top talent due to the fact that these individuals are professionals who anticipate receiving compensation increases as a result of the growing cost of living. On top of that, companies are also concerned about the talent scarcity in their particular fields, with the majority of them discovering that the most significant impediments to sourcing personnel are excessive expectations of income and perks. Professionals are required to possess the necessary qualifications, experience, and abilities for the work scope. It is imperative that businesses refrain from neglecting the emotional and physical well-being of their employees by ensuring that communication is kept open and proactive throughout the whole year. In addition, this study offers a complete reference that can be utilized by both employers and workers in order to gain access to trends and information pertaining to certain sectors, tools, and related resources. A comprehensive assessment of the present employment market, skill sets that are in demand, and wage expectations was provided by the study, which also included a survey of attitudes and perspectives of previously established work practices.


Impact :

Employee : Talent shortage because professionals expecting salary increasement in response of rising cost of living.

Performance : Low performance and productivity.

Organization : Talent shortage and lack of skilled labour to perform tasks that require specialists.

Solution :

Employee : Employee need to make sure that before they move to other company, they already have replacement that can do job as good as them.

Performance : Increase performance by always be motivated in doing daily work task.

Organization :  Employers need to improved learning and development, increased well-being initiatives and hybrid work policy.
