Nearly all employees want training, but chances slim
There are a few issues related to Human Resource. So I will share with all of you that read my blog 10 common issues in Human Resources.
For this week I would like to share about training issues.
The second issues that I have recently read is from Free Malaysia Today (FMT). Based on what I have read in paper is employees in Malaysia wanted to go for training but their chances are slim.
This article was written about a survey that was administered to workers on the training that they want, but they were only given a little chance of receiving it. They are interested in receiving training because it has the potential to assist them in achieving a better work-life balance and generating more revenue. Not all of them were given the opportunity to participate in training, despite the fact that they are eager to improve their skills. Members of staff are fully aware of the significance of participating in programmes that aim to improve their skills. By way of illustration, the talents that they desired to acquire include both technical and soft skills, as well as the development of their existing responsibilities within the organization. The results of this poll also contained information about what the employees want, which was that they desired to meet with career coaches in order to receive guidance on how to achieve a better work-life balance and how to advise their career with their existing employers. The upskilling of the workforce is a collaborative activity that involves both the company and the employees. In addition, businesses need to increase their investments in providing the necessary training to their staff members.
Impact :
Employee : Employees who have not been trained properly or did not get enough
training will produce less work and have a lower quality of work.
Performance : Less knowledge in their work can lead to a lower level of performance
and it can be resulting in less profit.
Organization : It can leads to errors, quality issues and more time consuming on repeating activities. It can give enormous implication for everyone including customers and suppliers.
Solution :
Employee : Keep on finding training that can be joined to improve knowledge in
helping company growth.
Performance : Increase performance by always be motivated in doing daily work task.
Organization : Contribute funds for people who joining the training program, find suitable sponsor or held own company training program.
